A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE APPROVAL GRANTED FOR A GROUP HOUSING <br />PROJECT PURSUANT TO ~40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT BEING KNOWN AS <br />"COLUMBIA PLACE CONDOMINIUMS" DESIGNATED AS GHP-85-19. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />adopted aT a meeting held July 23, 1985, a Resolution granting <br />approval for a group housing project pursuant to §40-55 of the <br />Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, said project <br />being known as "Columbia Place Condominiums" consisting of <br />thirty-six (36) condominium units on a 1.089 acre parcel <br />bounded by Washington, Columbia and South Streets, which <br />parcel is more particularly described in said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Allen C. Jensen, President and General Partner <br />of Columbia Place Corporation, has made application pursuant <br />to ~40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1973, for a revision to the design of two buildings in the <br />site layout of the group housing project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved group housing project consisted of <br />five (5) buildings with a total of thirty-six (36) units of <br />which twenty-eight (28) were two bedrooms and eight (8) were <br />one bedroom units and the developer has completed three <br />buildings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the revised plan will modify the design of <br />buildings four (4) and five (5) located along Columbia Street <br />by reducing the number of units in building four (4) from six <br />(6) to four (4) units and in building five (5) from eight (8) <br />to six (6) units, the new design being one story flats on the <br />first and second floors instead of a two floor townhouse <br />design as originally approved. The revised site plan showing <br />four (4) fewer parking spaces than originally approved with <br />the seventeen hundred (1700) square feet not used for parking <br />to be utilized for clustered storage units and landscaped open <br />areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission <br />application for revision and has made <br />thereon; and <br /> <br />has reviewed such <br />a recommendation <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that approval of the <br />revision reGuested would Not constitute a waiver of any other <br />requirement embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning <br />Ordinance, or Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any <br />other applicable local, state or federal law or regulation, <br />and that all the remaining terms and conditions of the group <br />housing project approval would remain in full force and <br />effect. <br /> <br /> <br />
