A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE APPROVAL GRANTED FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO ~40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT BEING KNOWN AS "COLUMBIA PLACE CONDOMINIUMS" DESIGNATED AS GHP-85-19. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, adopted aT a meeting held July 23, 1985, a Resolution granting approval for a group housing project pursuant to §40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, said project being known as "Columbia Place Condominiums" consisting of thirty-six (36) condominium units on a 1.089 acre parcel bounded by Washington, Columbia and South Streets, which parcel is more particularly described in said Resolution; and WHEREAS, Allen C. Jensen, President and General Partner of Columbia Place Corporation, has made application pursuant to ~40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for a revision to the design of two buildings in the site layout of the group housing project; and WHEREAS, the approved group housing project consisted of five (5) buildings with a total of thirty-six (36) units of which twenty-eight (28) were two bedrooms and eight (8) were one bedroom units and the developer has completed three buildings; and WHEREAS, the revised plan will modify the design of buildings four (4) and five (5) located along Columbia Street by reducing the number of units in building four (4) from six (6) to four (4) units and in building five (5) from eight (8) to six (6) units, the new design being one story flats on the first and second floors instead of a two floor townhouse design as originally approved. The revised site plan showing four (4) fewer parking spaces than originally approved with the seventeen hundred (1700) square feet not used for parking to be utilized for clustered storage units and landscaped open areas; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission application for revision and has made thereon; and has reviewed such a recommendation WHEREAS, the developer is aware that approval of the revision reGuested would Not constitute a waiver of any other requirement embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, or Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any other applicable local, state or federal law or regulation, and that all the remaining terms and conditions of the group housing project approval would remain in full force and effect.
