A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY 6,580 SQUARE FEET OF LAND ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF VICTORY BOULEVARD TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth recently acquired approximately three acres of property on the south side of Victory Boulevard from the Tidewater Regional Transportation District Commission; and WHEREAS, all of the property so acquired is not for public use, and the hereinafter described parcel declared to be excess property; and necessary is hereby WHEREAS, Section 2.09 of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, provides that the City may convey real property to the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a political subdivision thereof, without advertisement and receipt of bids; and WHEREAS, of Portsmouth of Virginia. the Industrial Development Authority of the City is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that for and in consideration of the sum of $11~225.00, the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth the following described property, to-wit: Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, bounded and described as follows: beginning at a point on the south side of Victory Boulevard said point being the intersection of the southern right-of-way line of Victory Boulevard and the eastern boundary of the property conveyed to Morris S. Fink and Karen D. Fink by deed recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Deed Book 979, page 1084; thence south 39° 26' 24" west 73.45' to a point; thence along a curve to the left having a radius of 1,743.90', an arc distance of 107.47' to a point; thence south 85° 55' 18" east 85.66' to a point; thence north 10° 18' 21" east 150.29' to the point of beginning.
