55 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH VIRGINIA POWER COMPANY FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINES ADJACENT TO WYATT <br />DRIVE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has acquired a parcel of <br />property from Trailsend Land Company for the construction of a <br />service road adjacent to the Western Freeway from Coast Guard <br />Boulevard to Wild Duck Lane; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Electric and Power Company has <br />requested that an easement be granted along a portion of said <br />property for the installation of electric transmission lines; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the <br />deems it to be in <br />easement. <br /> <br />Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />the best interest of the City to grant said <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and hereby <br />is, authorized to enter into an easement agreement with <br />Virginia Electric and Power Company for the installation of <br />electric transmission lines adjacent to Wyatt Drive over, <br />under and across the hereinafter-described property: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the easterly line <br /> of Coast Guard Boulevard; thence <br /> northwestwardly along the easterly line of <br /> said Coast Guard Boulevard being a curve to <br /> the left having a radius of 1462.39 feet; an <br /> arc distance of 37.60 feet to a point; thence <br /> No. 13° 21' 56" W. 17.25 feet along the <br /> easterly line of said Coast Guard Boulevard to <br /> a point; thence S. 65° 00' 42" E. 75.91 feet <br /> to a point; thence S. 60° 14' 18" E. 323.26 <br /> feet to a point; thence S. 55° 02' 10" E. <br /> 800.46 feet to a point; thence S. 57° 26' 31" <br /> E. 46.44 feet to a point; thence <br /> southeastwardly being a curve to the left <br /> having a radius of 2839.79 feet, an arc <br /> distance of 198.68 feet to a point; thence S. <br /> 57° 26' 31" E. 152.99 feet to a point; thence <br /> S. 60° 55' 41" E. 398.22 feet to a point; <br />--thence S. 62~ 56' 50" E. 398.76 feet to a <br /> point; thence S. 64~ 48' 22" E. 394.97 feet to <br /> a point; thence S. 78~ 13' 57" E. 22.06 feet <br /> to a point; thence S. 65~ 10' 22" E. 29.99 <br /> feet to a point; thence southeastwardly being <br /> a curve to the right having a radius of <br /> 1457.39 feet, an arc distance of 144.19 feet <br /> to a point; thence S. 83° 17' 20" W. 10.13 <br /> feet to a point; thence N. 68~ 05' 01" W. <br /> <br /> <br />
