Except in an <br /> emergency, Grantee shall use reasonable efforts to notify <br /> all residents affected by proposed work prior to <br /> commencement of that work. <br /> <br /> 4.04 Previous Franchises. Upon acceptance by Grantee <br /> as required herein, this Franchise shall supersede and <br /> replace any previous Ordinance granting a franchise to <br /> Grantee to own, operate and maintain a System within the <br /> City. <br /> <br /> 4.05 Franchise Term. This Franchise shall commence <br /> upon acceptance by Grantee as defined herein and shall <br /> expire twenty (20) years thereafter unless renewed, revoked <br /> or terminated sooner as herein provided. <br /> <br /> 4.06 Area Covered. This Franchise is granted for the <br />territerial boundary of the City. In the event of <br />annexation by the City or consolidation of other <br />communities, any new territory shall become part of the <br />area covered. Grantee shall provide service to any Person <br />within the City requesting service provided, however, if <br />any annexed or consolidated area is served by another cable <br />operator at the time of annexation, Grantee shall not be <br />obligated to provide service to that area so long as that <br />area is served by the other cable operator.
