ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-90-1 <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That a portion of the Zoning Map attached to and made <br />a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1988, which now zones as Residential R-t50 the <br />property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Z-90-1, is <br />hereby amended and changed as to show said property zoned as <br />Industrial M-2-K, and that said property is hereby zoned as <br />Industrial M-2-K. <br /> <br /> 2. The property affected by this Ordinance is described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Z-90-1 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the south right-of-way of Adams <br />Street at a point 650'+ west from its intersection <br />with the west right-oflway of Shipwright Street; <br />thence south 465'+ to the approximate low water <br />line of the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River; <br />thence west along said water line 90'+ to a point; <br />thence north 455'+ to the south rightlof-way of <br />Adams Street; thence east along said right-of-way <br />90' to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> 3. Zoning Amendment Ordinance Z-90-1 is conditioned upon <br />the following as proffered by the petitioner: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Use of the property will be limited to the <br />docking of tugboats, offices, and related <br />accessory uses; <br /> <br />(b) Spray painting and sandblasting are prohibited; <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />An eight-foot solid fence or landscaping screen <br />shall be installed along the property's western <br />property line; <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />A 30 foot wide buffer shall be maintained adjacent <br />to the western property line. There shall be no <br />construction or outdoor work activity within the <br />buffer area. Storage of material no higher than the <br />top of the 8 foot fence and parking of vehicles are <br />allowed in the buffer area. <br /> <br />(e) The existing residential structure shall only be <br /> used as an office for the tugboat operation. <br /> <br /> <br />
