ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-90-1 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That a portion of the Zoning Map attached to and made a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, which now zones as Residential R-t50 the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Z-90-1, is hereby amended and changed as to show said property zoned as Industrial M-2-K, and that said property is hereby zoned as Industrial M-2-K. 2. The property affected by this Ordinance is described as follows: Z-90-1 Beginning on the south right-of-way of Adams Street at a point 650'+ west from its intersection with the west right-oflway of Shipwright Street; thence south 465'+ to the approximate low water line of the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River; thence west along said water line 90'+ to a point; thence north 455'+ to the south rightlof-way of Adams Street; thence east along said right-of-way 90' to the point of beginning. 3. Zoning Amendment Ordinance Z-90-1 is conditioned upon the following as proffered by the petitioner: (a) Use of the property will be limited to the docking of tugboats, offices, and related accessory uses; (b) Spray painting and sandblasting are prohibited; (c) An eight-foot solid fence or landscaping screen shall be installed along the property's western property line; (d) A 30 foot wide buffer shall be maintained adjacent to the western property line. There shall be no construction or outdoor work activity within the buffer area. Storage of material no higher than the top of the 8 foot fence and parking of vehicles are allowed in the buffer area. (e) The existing residential structure shall only be used as an office for the tugboat operation.
