A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A ROUTE PROPOSED TO CONNECT <br />THE MARTIN LUTHER KING EXPRESSWAY, MIDTOWN TUNNEL AND THE <br />WESTERN FREEWAY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Location Public Hearing was conducted on <br />February 27, 1990, in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia by <br />representatives of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of <br />Transportation, after due and proper notice for the purpose of <br />considering the proposed location of a parallel Midtown Tunnel <br />and Interchange Project, 0058-965-102, in the Cities of <br />Portsmouth and Norfolk, at which hearing aerial photographs, <br />drawings, and other pertinent information were made available <br />for public inspection in accordance with state and federal <br />requiremefrt~;~d <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all persons and parties in attendance were <br />afforded full opportunity to participate in said public <br />hearings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of the City of Portsmouth were <br />present and participated in said hearing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth considered <br />all such matters; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia hereby approves <br />the proposed project designated as Alignment <br />which route is further designated on the map <br />and designated as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Council of the <br />the location of <br />A4-B4-C1-D1, <br />attached hereto <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on July 24, 1990. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
