19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />MANCHESTER ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gerchan Armistead has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Manchester Road, and it appearing that Notice of <br />Application and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br />advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Richard D. Ottavio, Thaddeus <br />Lawrence, Richard Todd, James Vick and Lester Harrington be <br />appointed viewers and that James Griffin and William Choate, <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion to such street and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />closing the following: <br /> <br /> That certain portion of land located between <br />lot numbered four, and lot numbered 1 as shown <br />on the plat of "Green Acres" which plat is <br />duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia, in map book 22 at page 1. Said <br />portion of land being approximately 40' wide <br />and ~ormerly known as Manchester Road.
