7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID FROM PHYLLIS B. HUNNICUTT TO <br />PURCHASE A TRIANGULAR JIB OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ON LOUISA <br />AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter-described <br />triangular parcel located on Louisa Avenue, which property <br />declared to be excess property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of <br />Portsmouth said property has been advertised for sale; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid received was from Phyllis B. <br />Hunnicutt in the sum of $250; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it <br />to be in the best interests of the City to sell said property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the bid of Phyllis B. Hunnicutt <br />to purchase a triangular jib located on Louisa Avenue for the <br />sum of $250 be, and the same hereby is, accepted. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter-described <br />property to Phyllis B. Hunnicutt: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southwestern right-of-way <br />intersection of Louisa Avenue and Columbia <br />Street, thence along the western right-of-way <br />of Louisa Avenue south 1° 41' 08" east a <br />distance of 108.50' to the true point of <br />beginning; thence continuing along the <br />western right-ofJway of Louisa Avenue south <br />1° 41' 08" east a distance of 35.00' to a <br />point; thence north 61° 25' 15" west a <br />distance of 69.47' to a point; thence north <br />88° 19' 25" east a distance of 60.00' to the <br />true point of beginning.
