24 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE CERTAIN ADDITIONS AND CHANGES IN FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING MAINTENANCE PAYMENTS. WHEREAS, the regulations of the Virginia Department of Transportation adopted pursuant to ~31.1-41.1, Code of Virginia, require that the City submit a request for changes in mileage additions and functional classification of streets which occurred during the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the following described changes in mileage have occurred in the City of Portsmouth for the reasons specified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Virglnia Department of Transportation be requested to approve the following additions and changes in functional classification for streets in the City of Portsmouth for the purpose of calculating maintenance payments: A. ADDITIONS 1. Bouie Court from Eighth Street to cul-de-sac; 2. Sunset Point from Twin Pines Road to cul-de-sac; 3. Sunset Court from Sunset Point to cul-de-sac; Windy Pines Bend from Sunset Point to Windy Pines Crescent; 5. Windy Pines Court from Windy Pines Bend to cul-de-sac; 6. Windy Pines Landing from Windy Pines Bend to Twin Pines Road; 7. Windy Pines Crescent from cul-de-sac to cul-de-sac; 8. Beechdale Road from .11 MS of Smithfield Road to cul-de-sac; 9. Beechwood Court from Beechdale Road to cul-de-sac; 10. Amelia Avenue from South Street to cul-de-sac; 11. Laigh Road from Airline Boulevard to Laigh Circle; 12. Laigh Circle from Laigh Road to Laigh Road; 13. Navajo Court from Navajo Trail to cul-de-sac; 14. Denver Drive from Alcindor Road to Holt Drive;
