tl A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY FORMERLY KNOWN AS LITTLE JOHN ROAD TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain hereinafter described real property known as Little John Road; and WHEREAS, said Little John Road was closed as a public way of the City of Portsmouth by Ordinance of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on August 27, 1985; and WHEREAS, said property is no longer required for public purposes and is, hereby, declared to be excess property; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems it to be in the best interest of the City for said property to be developed and put to its best an~ highest use. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter-described property to the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth, to-wit: Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, it being a portion of Little John Road, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the easterly si~e of Ponderosa Street, 230.37' more or less, in a northwesterly direction from the northeast intersection of Ponderosa Street and Elmhurst Lane; thence running north 44057' west along Ponderosa Street 51.11' to a pin; thence turning and running north 5700' east along the property now or formerly owned by Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, a distance of 199.78'; thence turning and running south 44057' east along the property now or formerly belonging to Lincoln Pre-Cast Company, Inc., a distance of 51.11' to a pin; thence turning and running south 5700' west along the property now or formerly belonging to Marvin L. Springs, a distance of 199.78' to the Point of Beginning.
