55 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY AN <br />EASEMENT TO VIRGINIA POWER COMPANY FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />ELECTRICAL SWITCHING EQUIPMENT AND UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL <br />LINES, TO THE KING'S CROSSING DEVELOPMENT SITE, ON THE <br />LIGHTSHIP MUSEUM PROPERTY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Power Company has requested an <br />over, under and across the property of the City known <br />Lightship Museum property; and <br /> <br />easement <br />as the <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said easement is necessary to upgrade service <br />the Lightship Museum, and in order to provide electrical <br />service to the development site known as King's Crossing. <br /> <br />to <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to convey an easement to Virginia Power <br />Company for the installation of electrical switching equipment <br />and underground electrical lines to the King's Crossing <br />development site on that property known as the Lightship <br />Museum Property as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as <br />shown on that certain plat of Virginia Power Company <br />numbered as Plat Number 24910054, dated September <br />11, 1991, City of Portsmouth, Virginia, said plat <br />being attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign such easement agreements and <br />other documents as may be necessary to carry out the intent of <br />this resolution, and as he may deem to be in the best interest <br />of the City. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virgi~nia, at a meeting held October 15, 1991. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
