AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 9-41(a) (1) <br />AND (2), THEREOF, PERTAINING TO CEMETERIES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 9-41(a) (1) and (2) of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 9-41. <br /> <br />Charges for work performed. <br /> <br /> (a) The following schedule of charges is hereby <br />established for work performed in the several cemeteries <br />the city: <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />(1) For opening graves four (4) feet and under in <br /> length, one hundred sixty-five dollars ($165.00). <br /> <br />(2) For opening graves over four (4) feet in length, <br /> three hundred thirty dollars ($330.00). <br /> <br /> 2. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, <br />1991. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 14, 1991. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
