(f) <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />than sixteen (16) square feet in industrial districts, one per street <br />frontage; <br /> <br />One construction sign per street frontage indicating the name(s) of the <br />developer, builder, contractor ~ architect, engineer or lending institution, <br />provided that the advertising display area does not exceed thirty-two <br />square feet per zone lot in commercial or industrial zoning districts and <br />twenty-four square feet per zone lot in any other zoning district. Such <br />signs shall be removed no later than fourteen (14) days after the city has <br />issued a certificate of occupancy for the final building in the development. <br /> <br />Signs erected in connection with elections or poetical campaigns, provided <br />that such signs are erected no more than ninety (90) calendar days before <br />and removed wit~hin fifteen (15) days after the election date. After <br />expiration of said time, such remairnng signs may be removed by the city <br />and the cost of such removal shall be charged to the candidate or <br />candidates. <br /> <br />(h) Works of art containing no commercial message. <br /> <br />Sec. 40-61.4. General regulations applicable to all signs. <br /> <br />The following general regulations shall apply to all permitted signs: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />ADVERTISING -- GENERAL. Notwithstanding any other provision of this <br />Chapter, no sign except a permitted off-premises advertising sign or a <br />permitted real estate sign shall advertise any service or product which if <br />offered on the zone lot where the sign is located would constitute a violation <br />of this Chapter or a permit g~anted hereunder or condition imposed. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />MAXIMUM ADVERTISING DISPLAY AREA. The maximum advertising display <br />area for on-premises signs shall be one square foot per linear foot of street <br />frontage of the zone lot, provided however that no individual sign may <br />exceed one hundred twenty-five (125) square feet per face. The maximum <br />advertising display area for on-premises signs located in any OR, RM, RT, <br />RMH, er Historic District shall be eighteen (18) square feet per face. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />BUILDING CODE COMPLIANCE. The requirements of this section are <br />supplemental to the building, electrical and other applicable codes. Nothing <br />hereir, shall exempt any sign from compliance with such codes. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />SIGNS TO BE PERMANENT. Except for real estate signs, yard sale signs, <br />window signs, permitted temporary signs and non-commercial signs utilizing <br />the dimensional requirements applicable to any of those, all signs shall be <br />permanently instalied. <br /> <br />ILLUMINATION. Illumination, where permitted, shall be designed, installed <br />and maintained in a manner that avoids glare on adjoining property and that <br />avoids glare or reflection which in any way interferes with traffic safety. <br />Signs other than name plates in OR, RM, RT and Historic Districts shall be <br />illuminated only by the re~lector method. <br /> <br />92 <br /> <br /> <br />
