1992-90 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF WEST ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of West Road. <br /> <br />to <br /> <br /> ?~EREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted August 25, <br />1992, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said street and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing said portion of West Road. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result <br />closing and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />writing that <br />from the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />portion of West Road be <br /> <br />IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />that the hereinafter described <br />closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />WEST ROAD <br /> <br />West Road between Maryview Hospital and property now <br />or formerly belonging to the City of Portsmouth and <br />being more particularly shown on that certain <br />exhibit entitled "Exhibit Plat Showing Portion of <br />'West Road' To Be Vacated," made by Hassell & <br />Folkes, P.C., Engineers, Surveyors, Planners, dated <br />5/3/90, a copy of which plat is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth hereby <br />reserves unto itself a pedestrian easement, a perpetual <br />easement, rights and privileges to install, operate, maintain <br />and replace gas mains, sewer mains, sewer drains, sanitary <br />sewers, water mains, storm drains, electric power lines, over, <br />under and across the hereinabove described portion of West <br />Road. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 24, 1992. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
