102 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />GREEN STREET AND COLUMBIA STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Green Street and Columbia <br />Street, and it appearinq that Notice of Application and <br />Request for Appointment of Viewers has been ~dvertised as <br />required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leinart, Charles R. Hudgins, <br />Robert Reed, Harrison Miller, and Moses Gibson be appointed <br />viewers and that Martha Glover and Lee Batts be appointed <br />alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers <br />fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of such stregt and to report to <br />this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if <br />any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the west <br />right-of-way line of Green Street with the south <br />right-of-way line of County Street; thence east <br />along the south right-of-way line of County Street a <br />distance of 60.24' ~o its intersection with the east <br />right-of-way line of Green Street; thence south <br />mlong th east right-of-way line of Green Street a <br />distance of 227.49' to its intersection with the <br />north right-of-way line of Columbia Street; thence <br />east along the north right-of-way line of Columbia <br />Street a distance of 181.22' to a point; thence <br />south a distance of 31.04' to the south right-of-way <br />line of Columbia Street; thence west along the south <br />right-of-way line of Columbia Street a distance of <br />181.22' to its intersection with the east <br />right-of-way line of Green Street; thence south <br />along the east riqht-of-way line of Green Street a <br />distance of 114.85' to a point; thence west a <br />distance of 60.18' to the west right-of-way line of <br />Green Street; thence ncrth along the west <br />right-of-way line of Green Street a distance of <br />114.37' to its intersection with the south <br />right-of-way line of Columbia Street; thence west <br />along the south right-of-way line of Columbia Street <br />a distance of 360.96' to its intersection with the <br />east right-of-way line of Effingham Street; thence <br />north along the east right-of-way line of Effingham <br />Street a distance of 33.54' to its intersection with <br />the north right-of-way line of Columbia Street; <br />thence east along the north right-of-way line of <br />Columbia Street a distance of 361.00' to its <br /> <br /> <br />
