82 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN <br />EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH VIRGINIA POWER FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />A TRANSFORMER ADJACENT TO THE EDINBURGH SQUARE PARKING GARAGE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Power is in the process of upgrading <br />its distribution system in the downtown area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Power is relocating transformers from <br />the interior of certain buildings located within the downtown <br />area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Power has relocated a transformer to a <br />site adjacent to the Edinburgh Square parking garage, for <br />which it needs an easement. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to execute and sign an easement <br />agreement with Virginia Power for the installation of a <br />transformer adjacent to the Edinburgh Square parking garage, <br />which said easement is more particularly shown and defined on <br />that certain plat entitled, "Plat to Accompany Right-of-Way <br />Agreement, Virginia Electric and Power Company, Plat Number <br />24-91-0048" dated August 14, 1991, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, with such agreement to <br />ccntain such terms and conditions as the City Manager shall <br />deem to be in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held on August 11, 1992. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
