A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN <br />EASEMENT TO COMMONWEALTH GAS SERVICES, INC., FOR A GAS <br />PIPELINE UNDER, OVER AND ACROSS THE GLENSHEALLAH ELEVATED TANK <br />SITE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Commonwealth Gas Services, Inc., has agreed to <br />supply natural gas to Woodrow Wilson High School as a part of <br />the installation of the new heating system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to install a four-inch gas <br />pipeline for that purpose; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the best route for said pipeline is across that <br />parcel of land belonging to the City of Portsmouth known as <br />the Glensheallah Elevated Tank Site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that an easement be granted for <br />this pipeline which will set down the terms and conditions by <br />which said pipeline is to be constructed and maintained upon <br />the property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to grant to Commonwealth Gas Services, <br />Inc., an easement for construction and maintenance of the gas <br />pipeline over, under and across a parcel of property as shown <br />and described on that certain drawing entitled Commonwealth <br />Gas Services, Inc. Gas Pipeline Easement On The Property Of <br />City of Portsmouth known as "The Glensheallah Elevated Tank <br />Site," dated December 16, 1992, Drawing No. V740-892, said <br />easement to contain such terms and conditions as may be in the <br />best interest of the City. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held February 9, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
