A~RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THECITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A PORTION OF <br />REEDA,FEN-UE (CLO!SEDANDvAcATED) TO P6RTSMOUTH!REDEVELOpMENT AND <br />HouSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />has closed and vacated all of Reed Avenue, lying between Ballard <br />Avenue and Elmhurst Lane, as shown on the plat of Washington <br />Heights; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hampton Roads Mortgage Company, Incorporated <br />conveyed its interest in all the streets located on the plat of <br />Washington Heights including Reed Avenue to the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, as herein referenced by deed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority is <br />desirous of acquiring fee simple title to a portion of Reed <br />Avenue as closed and vacated. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he is <br />hereby authorized to convey unto Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority all of its right, title and interest to that <br />closed portion of Reed Avenue, lying between lots 8, 9, 10 and <br />13, Block C and lots 8, 9, 10 and 11, Block D as shown on the <br />plat of Washington Heights, which plat is duly recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia (formerly Norfolk County), in Map Book 19, at page 90. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held on November 23, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
