8 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY KNOWN AS 1520 QUEEN STREET TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, property located at 1520 Queen Street, Portsmouth, Virginia, has been scheduled for acquisition by Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has given notice to the City of its desire to so proceed at this time; and WHEREAS, it IS necessary that the City Manager be given authority to execute a deed to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority for such property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority for property known as 1520 Queen Street, Portsmouth, Virginia, which said property is more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit: Ail that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with appurtenances, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known as lot number sixty-one (61) in the Plan of Hodges and Grice, of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for the City of Chesapeake, formerly Norfolk County, Virginia, in the suit of Grice's Executors vs. Hodges' Executors, et als, in Map Book 1, page 28 1/2, and bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point one hundred eighty (180) feet East from the northeast intersection of Queen Street and Avenue A in said plan (now First Avenue), as formed by lot number fifty-five (55) of said plan, and one hundred ninety-two (192) feet East from the east side of First Avenue as the same now exists~ thence running East thirty (30) feet; thence North one hundred thirteen (113) feet; thence West thirty (30) feet; thence South one hundred thirteen (113) feet to the point of beginning.
