34 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br />LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH VIRGINIA ELECTRIC .AND POWER COMPANY AND <br />PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR THE USE OF <br />PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY FOR INSTALLATIION AND MAINTENANCE OF <br />SERVICE LINES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />is constructing a subdivision to be known as Columbia Commons; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the streets in said subdivision will be <br />dedicated to the City of Portsmouth as public Eight-of-ways; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Electric and Power Company finds it <br />necessary to use portions of these right-of-ways for <br />construction and maintenance of electrical service to the <br />various lots therein. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is authorized to enter into a license agreement by and <br />between the City of Portsmouth, Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority and Virginia Electric and Power Company <br />providing for the installation and maintenance of electrical <br />lines within the right-of-ways as shown on that certain lot <br />entitled "Plat Showing the City's street right-of-way to <br />Virginia Electric and Power Company licensed to Virginia <br />Electric and Power Company~ Portsmouth, Virginia,~ dated June <br />14, 1993," prepared by Stephen I. Boone & Associates, P.C., <br />Land Surveyors, Portsmouth, Virginia, upon such terms and <br />conditions as the City Manager shall deem to be in the best <br />interest of the City. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth at a <br />meeting held on June 22, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
