33 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY <br />ADJACENT TO ELMHURST LANE TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth did acquire property for <br />the construction of an industrial access ~oad now known as <br />Elmhurst Lane; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said road has been constructed and dedicated as <br />a public right-of-way; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is now a residue of property that was not <br />needed for the construction of said road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this residue should be made available for <br />economic development of the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth that the City Manager be, and he hereby is <br />authorized to convey said residue property, or a portion <br />thereof, now owned by the City of Portsmouth, lying adjacent <br />to Elmhurst Lane to the Industrial Development Authority of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia under such terms and <br />conditions, and at such appropriate times as he shall in his <br />discretion deem to be in the best interest of the City of <br />Portsmouth, said property to be at such time properly <br />delineated on a plat to be prepared by a certified land <br />surveyor duly licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held on June 22, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
