"Re-Allocation Transfer" shall mean re-assignment under the Employee <br />Resource Program of an employee from one department to another in <br />the same or different class or grade. This transfer a~tivitiy will <br />not change the salary of the transferred employee. No employee may <br />be transferred between departments without prior approval of the <br />Director of Employee Resources and Development. <br /> <br />The City Manager may authcrize variations in the application of <br />section. <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />SECTION 10. Overtime <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Eligibility for overtime compensation shall be determined by <br />the Department Head and the Director of Employee Resources and <br />Development in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act of <br />1938 (FLSA), as amended, including, but not limited to, the <br />i985 Amendments to the FLSA as same is applied to City <br />employment through the adoption of the City's Administrative <br />Policy Directive pertaining to overtime. <br /> <br />Exempt and Non-Exempt classification are indicated in the <br />Classes of Positions Assigned to Pay Grades Section. The <br />letter E after the Grade designation indicates positions that <br />are EXEMPT from the puovisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. <br />The absence of the Letter E indicates that the position is <br />NON-EXEMPT, and is subject to overtime according to (a) above. <br /> <br />(c) The City Manager may authorize payment for overtime to any <br /> employee. <br /> <br />SECTION 11. Additional Compensation Firefighte~s and Police <br /> Officers <br /> <br />(a) Any swcrn officer of the Fire or Police Departments who is <br /> required to wear civilian clothes in the regular performance of <br /> official duties, shall be paid an additional $50.00 per month <br /> as clothing allowance. <br /> <br />(b) Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer, Police <br /> Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, and Police Major <br /> shall receive an allowance in the amount of S70.00 per month as <br /> compensation for being required to wear a handgun at all times. <br /> <br />(c) Police Officers serving as First Class Patrol Officers and <br /> Field Training Officers shall receive an allowance of $45.00 <br /> per month as designated by the Chief of Police and approved in <br /> advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> (d) Sworn personnel in the the grades o[ Firefighter, Fire <br /> Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Fire Battalion Chief who have <br /> successfully completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) <br /> courser shall receive an allowance in the amount of $70.00 per <br /> month. <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br /> <br />
