Section 35~181. Notice by city treasurer. <br /> <br /> The City Treasurer shall enclose written notice, in each <br />real estate tax bill for the third quarter of each taxable <br />year, of the ~erms and conditions of the real estate tax <br />exemptions for elderly and disabled persons in the City of <br />Portsmouth. The Treasurer shall employ any other reasonable <br />means necessary to notify residents of the City of Portsmouth <br />about the terms and conditions of the real estate tax <br />exemptions for elderly and handicapped persons. <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall take effect as of July 1, 1993, <br />for application for the 1994-95 fiscal year. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 11, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
