AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 38-117(a) <br />PERTAINING TO RATES FOR DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE. <br /> <br />PORTSMOUTH, <br />THEREOF, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 38-117(a) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended and reordained as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 38-117 Rate. <br /> <br /> (a) Charges for the disposal of sewage discharged into <br />the City sewer system will be based upon the water consumed on <br />the premises as measured by meters used for this purpose at <br />the rate of one dollar and six and ninety-four hundredths <br />cents ($1.0694) per one thousand (1,000) gallcas or <br />eighty cents ($0.80) per one hundred (100) cubic feet. The <br />minimum charge for such service shall be one dollar and fifty <br />cents ($1.50) per month. <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall <br />and shall be applicable to all <br />1993. <br /> <br />take effect as of July 1, 1993 <br />bills rendered after July 1, <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 11, 1993. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
