USE PERMIT GUIDEUNES FOR ADULT USES <br /> <br />Adult uses for the purposes of these guidelines will include adult entertainment <br />establishments, adult book stores, adult theaters, and nightclubs. Adult uses shall <br />be located with a use permit only in Commercial C-2 or Industrial M-1 zoning <br />districts. However, nightclubs may be located in Commercial C-2, Industrial M-l, <br />Downtown Commercial, Central Business, and Industrial, D-1 and D-2. <br /> <br />Adult uses will be located near but not necessarily on a primary arterial street <br />or secondary arterial street. <br /> <br />Adult use buildings will be located at ]east 1,000 feet from the property line <br />of another adult use with the exception of night clubs. This guideline shall <br />not apply to those adult uses to be located in the 3200 block of George <br />Washington Highway. <br /> <br />Adult use buLIdings wJ/l be located at least 700 feet from the nearest property <br />line of any land in any residential zone, or any public, private, or parochial <br />school, library, park, playground or other, recreational facility whether <br />commercial or non-profit, in any other zone and at least 1,000 feet from the <br />nearest property line of any church or other religious institution. This <br />guideline shall not apply to those adult uses to be located in the 3200 block <br />of .George Washington Highway. <br /> <br />Advertisements, displays, or other promotional materials depicting specified <br />anatomical areas shall not be shown or exhibited so as to ha visible, to the <br />public from pedestrian sidewalks or walkways, or from other areas public or <br />semf-public. Signage shall be in compliance with the city's current sign <br />ordinance regulations. <br /> <br />All building.openings, entries, windows, etc. for adult uses shall be located, <br />covered, or screened in such a manner as to prevent a view into the interior <br />from any public or semi-public area. <br /> <br />Activities and buildings on the property shall be organized so as not to result <br />in a violation of Section 24-255 of the City Code relating to noise. This may <br />include but not be limited to consideration of the site plan, building sound <br />proofing and insulation, landscaping, and screening. <br /> <br />Parking - Maximum building occupancy as determined by the Fire Department <br />and Department of Environmental Services should be considered along with <br />a detailed floor plan in the Planning Commission's determination of required <br />number of parking spaces. <br /> <br /> <br />
