AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 24 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 24-101 THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS ARTICLES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 24-101 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to amend the definition <br />of "Dangerous Articles" and to add the definition of "Spent <br />Nuclear Fuel" and co read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 24-101. <br /> <br />Definitions. <br /> <br /> The <br />article, <br />section, <br />meaning: <br /> <br />followmng words, nerms and phrases, when used in this <br />shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this <br />except where the conmexn clearly indicates a different <br /> <br /> Dangerous articles means explosives, flammable liquids, <br />flammable solids, oxidizing materials, corrosive liquids, <br />compressed gases, pomsonous substances, radioactive materials, <br />and spent nuclear fuel as hereinafter defined when transported <br />as cargo. <br /> <br /> Spent Nuclear Fuel means fuel that has been withdrawn <br />a nuclear reacnor following irradiation, the constituenn <br />elements of which have non been separated by reprocessing. <br /> <br />from <br /> <br /> 2.
