A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF THE WESTERN <br />THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY (380) FEET OF PENNOCK STREET. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter <br />described street, and it appearing that Notice of Application <br />and Request for Appolntmenu of Viewers has been advertised as <br />required by the law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Vincent T. Cherry, Alber5 J. <br />Carr, Richard Todd, George N. Powers, Sr. and Richard Wood be <br />appointed viewers, and that Waldo Davis and Purvis H. <br />Richardson be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter described sEree5, and to report uo this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any <br />what, inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />closing the following: <br /> <br /> A portion of unimproved Pennock Street, as <br /> shown on Plate 151 of the records of the City <br /> Assessor for the City of Portsmouth, bounded on <br /> the west by the eastern side of Deep Creek <br /> Boulevard and property of Wesley Frye, and <br /> bounded on the east by that portion of Pennock <br /> Street previously closed and vacated by Ordinance <br /> number 1991-59 of the Council of the City of <br /> Portsmouth; said portion of Pennock Street to be <br /> closed and vacated extending eastwardly from Deep <br /> Creek Boulevard three hundred and eighty feet. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, aE a meeting held on January 25, 1994 <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
