44 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF WAVY STREET AND A LANE, IN THE 200 ELOCK OF WA%'~ STREET. WHEREAS, the Department of Economic Development has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described street and lane, and it appearing that Notice of Application and Request for an Appointment of Viewers has been advertised as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, virginia, that Roy Leinart, Johnny Mason, Simon P. Arrington, Raymond Tweed and Matthew Peanort be appointed viewers and that Charles R. Hudgins and Harry Fallon be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter described street and lane, and to report to this Council whether in their opinion, any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: ALL that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, sometimes described as a lane, which lane is a strip of land approximately 12.586 feet in width located in the center of the block bounded on the north by Wavy (formerly Harrison) Street, on the east by Ruth Brown Avenue (formerly Second Street), on the south by Randolph Street and on the west by Third Street, said parcel or strip of land being parallel to Ruth Brown Avenue and Third Street, and running from the southern right-of-way line of Wavy Street, south to the northern right-of-way line of Randolph Street. ALL that portion of Wavy (formerly Harrison) Street bounded on the east by the western right-of-way line of First Street and on the west by the eastern right-of-way line of Ruth Brown Avenue (formerly Second Street).
