AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 38 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988) BY AMENDING SECTIONS 38-82 AND <br />38-83 THEREOF, PERTAINING TO WATER METER RATES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED bY the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Sections 38-82 and 38-83 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) be amended and reordained to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 38-82. Meter charges. <br /> <br /> The following meter charges, based on meter size, shall be <br />paid by water consumers for each premises the occupants of <br />which take wacer from the service pipe: <br /> <br />Meter Size Charge Per <br />(inches) Month <br /> <br /> 5/8 .......................... S 3.75 <br /> 3/4 .......................... 4.75 <br /> 1 ............................. 8.00 <br /> 1 1/2 ......................... 15.50 <br /> 2 ............................. 25.50 <br /> 3 ............................. 40.50 <br /> 4 ............................. 75.50 <br /> 6 ............................. 163.00 <br /> 8 ............................. 250.50 <br />10 ............................. $375.00 <br /> <br />Sec. 38-83. Meter rates for water supplied. <br /> <br /> (a) For all waner which passes through meters, consumers <br />within the corporane limits of the City shall pay $2.05 per one <br />thousand (1,000) gallons or 1.5336 per one hundred (100) cubic <br />feet of water supplied. <br /> <br /> (b) For all water which passes through meEers, the <br />customers of the City of Chesapeake who are served by <br />Portsmouth and whose rates are hoe set by conEracm shall pay <br />$3.075 per one thousand (1,000) gallons or $2.3004 per one <br />hundred (100) cubic feet of water supplied. <br /> <br />(c) For all water which passes through the meners of the <br /> <br /> <br />
