AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ADMISSION TO MUSEUMS IN THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the admission fee no the Children's Museum of <br />Virginia shall be four dollars ($4.00) per person per day. <br />Payment of such fee shall entitle each person to be admitted to <br />the Children's Museum of Virglnma during normal operating hours <br />on said day. <br /> <br /> 2. That aculve members of the Portsmouth Museums <br />Foundation or Friends of the Naval Shipyard Museum shall, upon <br />providing proof of membership, be entitled to a discount of one <br />dollar ($1.00) per day for each current member. This discount <br />shall be applied only to the individual member unless a family <br />museum membership is held. <br /> <br /> 3. That primary and secondary school students visiting <br />the Children's Museum of Virginia under a school-sponsored <br />program shall be admitted on the following basis: <br /> <br /> (a) That Portsmouth Public Schools student groups, with <br />supervising adults, shall be admitted without charge. For each <br />group of eight (8) children, one adult supervisor shall be <br />admitted free of charge. <br /> <br /> (b) That all other private and public primary and <br />secondary school student groups with supervising adults, shall <br />be admitted for a fee of one dollar ($1.00) per child. For <br />each group of eight (8) children, one adult supervisor shall be <br />admitted for a fee of one dollar ($1.00). <br /> <br /> 4. That admission fees to all other museums <br />the City of Portsmouth shall be one dollar ($1.00) <br />for each person per day. <br /> <br />located mn <br />per museum <br /> <br /> 5. That there hereby ms established a discount program <br />to be known as a "Keypass". Upon payment of a fee of five <br />dollars ($5.00), each person shall be entitled no admittance to <br />any and all museums located in the City of Portsmouth, during <br />normal working hours during the same calendar day. <br /> <br /> 6. That the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized <br />establish such waivers of admission fees as he may deem <br />appropriate, provided that such waivers are specified in <br />writing. <br /> <br />to <br /> <br /> <br />
