39 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY THE OLD <br />CHURCHLAND HIGH SCHOOL SITE TO THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority <br />is engaged in an effort to market the old Churchland High <br />School site to a buyer for its potential development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the site be <br />conveyed to the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority <br />quickly and efficiently upon an agreement for its development <br />and sale. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Portsmouth,. <br />Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, <br />authorized to convey unto the Portsmouth Industrial Development <br />Authority of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, all that certain <br />piece or parcel of land lying in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being 33.86 acres as shown on that certain survey <br />entitled "Boundary Survey of Churchland High School, <br />Portsmouth, Virginia", dated March 31, 1987, and revised <br />January 29, 1992, prepared by Miller-Stephenson & Associates, <br />P.C., which said plat was duly recorded in the Clerk's Office <br />of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in <br />Map Book 15, at page 84, by deed of special warranty, subject <br />to such conditions, restrictions and easements as appear of <br />record. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on April 25, 1995. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
