50 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />TROTTER STREET, HYMAN STREET, HYMAN STREET (UNPLATTED), DUNCAN <br />STREET, BAXTER STREET AND TWO PRIVATE LANES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described streets and lanes, and it appearing that <br />Notice of Application and Request for an Appointment of Viewers <br />has been advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Roy Leinart, Johnny H. Mason, <br />Jr., Moses Gibson, Robert McCurdy and Harrison Miller be <br />appointed viewers and that Cornelius Harding, Jr., and Robert <br />Reed be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter described streets and lanes, and to report to <br />this Council whether in their opinion, any, and if any what <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br /> TROTTER STREET: That portion of Trotter <br /> Street south of Ballard Avenue and lying <br /> between the southern right-of-way line of <br /> Ballard Avenue (which right-of-way line is 70 <br /> feet south of the centertine of the Seaboard <br /> Coastline Railroad track), and the extension <br /> across Trotter Street of the northerly line of <br /> the property conveyed to Portsmouth <br /> Redevelopment and Housing Authority by deed of <br /> Mamie Blanchard Pierce, et vir, dated November <br /> 3, 1982, and recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br /> the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, in Deed book 839, at page 620. <br /> <br /> HYMAN STREET: That portion of Hyman Street <br /> north of the south side of Duncan Street and <br /> lying between the south side of Duncan Street <br /> and south side of Ballard Avenue, being a <br /> portion of Hyman Street shown on the Plat of <br /> Hyman Ville, which plat is recorded in the <br /> Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br /> City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 5, <br /> at page 63. <br /> <br /> HYMAN STREET (UNPLATTED): That portion of an <br /> undedicated street of varying width lying <br /> between the north side of Elmhurst Lane and <br /> the south side of Ballard Avenue, the <br /> <br /> <br />
