AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $14,154,263.00 FROM THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND AND $3,513,252.00 FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 1997-98 <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the sums of $14,654,263.00 from the Capital <br />Improvement Fund and $3,513,252.00 from the Public Utilities <br />Capital Improvement Fund be, and the same hereby are, <br />appropriated for expenditure in the following categories and <br />amounts to implement the 1997-98 Capital Improvement Program: <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Fund: <br /> <br /> Drainage and Street Improvements $ 4,335,161 <br /> Education 1,173,476 <br /> Industrial and Economic <br /> Development 928,000 <br /> Leisure Services 3,662,000 <br /> Public Safety 788,878 <br /> Municipal Facilities 1,930,675 <br /> Miscellaneous 1,336,073 <br /> <br /> Total Capital Improvement Fund $14,154,263 <br /> <br /> Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund $ 3,513,252 <br /> <br /> 2.
