AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE FY 1999 ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET <br />BY APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the FY 1999 Annual Operating Budget, adopted by the City Council on <br />April 28, 1998, be amended by appropriating the indicated amended amounts from the <br />General Fund for the purposes specified: <br /> <br /> A. GENERAL FUND <br /> <br />Non-departmental/Other $ 5,222,535 <br />Public Safety 30,881,385 <br />Less: Allowance for Employee <br /> Turnover <1,356,000> <br /> <br />Total Appropriations $ 145,989,280 <br /> <br /> 2.
