R-99-65 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH,S 2000 <br /> LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS TO BE PRESENTED TO THE PORTSMOUTH <br /> DELEGATION AND THE MEMBERS OF THE VIRGINIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia General Assembly deals with a broad range of issues that <br /> affect local governments both directly and indirectly; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has certain concerns which deal with both local <br /> governments and Portsmouth specifically; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these concerns and issues need to be made known to Portsmouth's General <br /> Assembly Delegation so that they may be transmitted for consideration by the Legislature. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Portsmouth <br />endorses the attached legislative proposals for the 2000 General Assembly Session and directs <br />that both this resolution and the legislative proposals be forwarded to the Portsmouth General Assembly <br />Delegation. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />December 14, 1999. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
