R-01-61 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A PARCEL OF LAND IN THE VICINITY OF MARYVIEW HOSPITAL TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute and deliver a deed conveying to the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth a parcel of land in the vicinity of Maryview Hospital. The property is generally described as follows: All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land with the buildings and improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and known, numbered and designated as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a poim on High Street at the property line of Maryview Hospital (formerly Seaboard Coastline Railroad) and continuing N 47 o 02' 44" W a distance of 77.25 feet, more or less, to a point: thence N 22o 10' 00" E a distance of 187.26 feet. more or less, to a point; thence S 67o 50' 00" E a distance of 207.03', more or less, to a point; thence S 550 54' 20" W a distance of 242.69 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning as shown on a survey entitled "EXHIBIT 'A' SHOWING 20' PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT HEREBY DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH ON TAX MAP 198, PARCELS 4, 5 AND PLATE 355-1 PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA", DATED April i1, 2001 and attached hereto for reference. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virgima, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute and deliver such other deeds, documents, and plats as may be necessary to implement this resolution, subject to such terms and conditions as he may deem appropriate and in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect on the date of its adoption. ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on August 14, 2001.
